We do this through proactive tax strategy, business strategy, financial education, and thoughtful planning designed to help clients make more informed financial decisions as their income, business, and wealth grow.

Our Story
RSJ Consulting Group was founded by Nicole Johns, a Tax & Business Strategist with more than a decade of experience across tax and financial services.
Nicole's journey into tax began in 2009 after a mistake by a national tax service cost her $1,000. Rather than treating it as a one-time setback, she began learning the rules for herself and developed a deeper understanding of how taxes connect to the financial decisions people make throughout their lives.
Her experience expanded beyond tax into credit, mortgages, retirement planning, insurance, and business ownership. That broader financial background shaped a core belief behind RSJ Consulting Group: most people feel stuck financially because no one taught them that the rules change when income changes.
In 2020, Nicole launched the firm with a focus on helping clients move beyond reactive tax preparation toward more proactive planning, education, and strategy. Today, RSJ Consulting Group helps clients understand when their financial situation has outgrown the strategies that worked at an earlier stage and how to begin building wealth by design, not by default.

RSJ Consulting Group was founded by Nicole Johns, a tax strategist, financial advisor, and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry.
Nicole’s journey began in 2009 when a mistake by a national tax service cost her $1,000. Instead of letting that setback define her, she turned it into motivation. She began learning the ins and outs of tax law, determined to prevent others from facing similar losses.
By 2020, Nicole launched RSJ Consulting Group in the middle of global uncertainty, determined to create a firm that put strategy and education first. Today, RSJ serves clients across the country with the same guiding principle: design wealth intentionally, not by default.

Meet Nicole
Nicole Johns is the founder of RSJ Consulting Group LLC and a Tax & Business Strategist with more than a decade of experience across tax and financial services. Her background includes tax strategy and preparation, credit, mortgages, retirement planning, insurance, and business ownership. She is also completing her degree in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and mentors aspiring tax professionals.
Nicole's approach is rooted in helping people understand a simple but often overlooked reality: as income, business, and wealth grow, the financial rules and strategies that worked before may need to change too.
